Chrysler Cooling Fan Relay Video

Chrysler cooling fans are a common fault. However they can be a little puzzling to test. Review the electrical diagram before you begin and this should help you diagnose the system

I have been a certified tech for 45 years and? I remember the chrysler has a solid state relay (as you have shown) but another model has the ss relay under and behinf the left front headlamp. It is very hard to get at. I have found that it is a lot faster to remove the right, sorry front headlamp assy. and with a 2" holesaw, drill a hole to the rear of the fiberglass rafiator support. Then you can reach the screws that secure the ss relay.

that a cool tetster ...
that a cool tetster were? can i get one and how much are they

All because they ...
All because they used a solid state relay instead of a more rugged mechanical one. The only reason they did that was so that they could control the fans with Pulse Width Modulation rather than a? large ceramic dropping resistor. This is done by rapidly switching the relay on and off to control speed.
